Newer headlamps on automobiles are brighter. I don't mind that so much. What I do mind is that they're bluer. See, blue is great for creating temporary nightblindness (unlike red, which is why taillights are red).
Newer electronic devices often decide they need to use bright blue LEDs to indicate their powered-on status. This is pretty annoying when trying to watch a film, to sleep, or to do other dark-requiring things. It can, however, also be a picture of the day.
kamoranakrre is grateful that this particular light doesn't blink, at least.
